We continue to be busy in EYFS this term.

Our topic focus has been ‘Celebrations’ and we have really enjoyed investigating and exploring different festivals and celebrations that take place in our world.

We made sure that we all knew how to stay safe on Bonfire Night and made our own fireworks using a range of different materials.

To celebrate Diwali, we learnt about the story of Rama & Sita and created diwa lamps out of salt dough.

When it was Remembrance Day, we were thankful for all the brave men and women and made poppies to show they are still in our thoughts.

On Children in Need day, we made giant Pudsey faces and thought carefully about all the children our pennies were going to help.

We investigated what happens at a wedding and really enjoyed making our own wedding cakes!

To celebrate birthdays, we set up a tea party for Peppa Pig and her friends to enjoy and made cards to send to our families.

Finally, we have been getting ready to celebrate Christmas. Everyone took part in our Christmas sing-a-long and sang and performed brilliantly. We had lovely parties at the end of term and even enjoyed a visit from Father Christmas!

In EYFS this half term, we have decided that ‘it’s great to celebrate!’
