During Autumn 1, Year 6 immersed themselves into the life of a child during World War 2.
We began the topic, by visiting Bewdley Museum where the children dressed up in 1940s clothes and found out about the experience of an evacuee. We found out what children of the war had during rationing. We also got to see the toys and games children played with.
We have found out about the blitz and created artwork inspired by photographs and first hand accounts of the time.
During our writing lessons we wrote a diary in the first person, as if we were and evacuee. We have wrote a poem based on the blitz.
Our PE lessons were lots of fun, as we got to learn some dances of the 1940s.
