A Special Visitor

Dear Parents & Carers,

Local MP for Northfield, Richard Burden, came to visit The Meadows Primary School on Friday 30th September.

He joined the KS2 children for assembly recognising the many ways in which the children and the school had were helping the local community.

Richard then went on a tour of the school with a group of children, visiting Year 2, EYFS, Year 3 and Year 4 in the newly built buildings as well as dropping into the new library, Year 6 and the Speech and Language Resource Base.

He spoke to Mrs Burns regarding our recent successful lottery bid, providing funds to develop our Early Years outdoor area, and Mr Ottley about the impact of ‘The Living Streets’ Walk to School Project.

The children took great pride in explaining how the school had worked hard during the building process to minimise any disruption and how pleased they were with the new buildings and the exciting opportunities they would provide us with. It was a pleasure to listen to our children talking so eloquently and positively about their learning experiences at the Meadows.
